1st October; Feast of St Thérèse of Lisieux – The Little Flower, was born on January
2, 1873 and died on September 30, 1897, at the age of 24. St. Thérèse was a French
Carmelite nun who lived a short but remarkable life and made significant
contributions through her spirituality, writings, and approach to faith.

St. Thérèse is best known for her “Little Way” a path of spiritual simplicity and trust in God’s love
and mercy. The patron saint of florists, missionaries, those who have lost parents, and
the sick (especially those with tuberculosis).
