O Mary, we look to you and give you thanks,

for it is precisely in your humble and courageous response: “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord;

let it be done to me according to your word,”

that you allowed God to become man.

 

O Mary, may we too, respond each day to the Lord’s call

with a humble and strong ‘Yes’,

so that our humble lives may become through the power of your Son and the action of the Holy Spirit,

a place where God dwells and

an instrument for the salvation of all.
