Forty days after the birth of Jesus, we recall the day when Mary and Joseph brought Jesus to the Temple.  With candles in their hands, the people go out to meet the Lord and to acclaim him like Simeon, who recognised Christ as “a light to reveal God to the nations.”

Candles to be used in the Church will be blessed at  9.30am Mass on Friday morning – February 2nd.

If you wish to have candles blessed for use at home, please bring them to Mass.
