Next Sunday 31st August:11.30am Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Tom Deenihan and followed by a Parish Picnic in church grounds.

Tea & Coffee will be provided and you are invited to bring buns, cakes or anything you would like to share for our picnic! (we will accept food before Mass, near the sacristy door) There will be tables and chairs in the church grounds, face painting and treats for the children, music by Comhaltas Tlachtga.

 

Tuesday 2nd September: 7.30pm Holy Hour & Benediction

Prayer and quiet reflection in thanksgiving for St James’.  An opportunity to take some prayerful time before the Blessed Sacrament, asking God’s blessing on our parish and concluding with Benediction.

Wednesday 3rd September: Celebrating our Community

Tree Planting, Walk to Church and Community Mass

beginning at 6.45pm on Fair Green.  All local

clubs and organisations are welcome and invited.

Friday 5th September:  Mary Duff in Concert in Athboy Church at 8pm. Tickets €25 available after Mass in Athboy, Rathmore & Rathcairn, also from the Darnley Lodge Hotel and at the church door on the night.
