Bishop Deenihan has asked us to remember the people of the Holy Land on Good Friday and to support them with a collection

“As Holy Week approaches, our hearts and our gaze return to the Holy Land, to the land where the Son of God gave his life “until the end” and from which the Church was born. We cannot hide, that the time we are living in, is difficult. War, violence and insecurity have hit Gaza, Palestine, Israel, Lebanon and Syria hard. Absence of pilgrims, has aggravated a situation already complicated for many families who no longer have the means to support themselves. These faithful Christians are surrounded by a majority Jewish and Islamic population and are subjected to war and violence.   Please help Christians in the Holy Land with your contribution to the Good Friday Collection.

This will take place at the Stations of the Cross and Celebration of the Lord’s Passion.
