On Holy Saturday night at 7.30pm we wait in darkness to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. We light the Paschal Fire, then light our candles from the Paschal Candle to remember Jesus is our Light.

  On Holy Thursday Jesus celebrated the Last Supper with his apostles. He washed the feet of his friends, he changed bread and wine into his Body and Blood and said, “Do this in memory of me.” Celebration of the Lord’s Supper 7.30pm in Athboy Church Adoration at the Altar of Repose until 9pm.

The children in Second Class will celebrate their First Confession at 2pm on Tuesday 3rd March, in Rathcairn Church and at 7.30pm on Wednesday 4th March, in Athboy Church. Parents and family members welcome to the ceremonies.

Bishop Deenihan will confer the Sacrament of Confirmation on the 6th class pupils in Athboy Church on Friday 27th February at 3pm.

Wednesday 11th February is the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. 9.30am Mass on Wednesday will be celebrated at the altar dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes in Athboy Church.
