Bernard Walsh will be facilitating a series of guided tours based on his book " A History Worth Recording" beginning on Sunday August 31st @ 1.30pm. It will start at the main entrance to the Church.

Bernard Walsh’s book outlining the history of our church and the faith story of Athboy will be launched and on sale during celebrations on Sunday 31st August. The book includes colour illustrations of the stained glass windows in the church.

The 11.30am Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Tom Deenihan and followed by a Parish Picnic in church grounds. Celebration of the Lord’s Supper 7.30pm in Athboy Church Adoration at the Altar of Repose until 9pm. On Holy Thursday Jesus celebrated the Last Supper with his apostles. He washed the feet of his friends, he changed bread and wine into his Body and Blood and said, “Do this in memory of me.”

Volunteers are needed to help clean and prepare Athboy Church for Easter, on Tuesday 15th April after 7.30pm Mass.

Bishop Deenihan will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation in Athboy Church with the girls and boys of 6th classes in Athboy, Rathcairn & Rathmore schools on Friday 28th February at 12noon.
